I am just your everyday underpaid and definitely underqualified mother. All in one day I am expected to be a shrink, a chef, a confidant, a healer, a nurse, a maid, a philosopher and even a vet – and this is all before 9am. But such is life with kids and anyone without them will not understand and those with them, well unless you are supermummy, you totally understand. It is hard, lets face it – but it is increasingly and generously rewarding. Nothing is more intimate than a wet sticky kiss on the cheek from a chubby faced toddler flowering in your affection and praise. And sometimes it needs a glass of wine, and it most definitely needs prayer – but just like you, my family is my everything.
